Google Search tips and tricks 2012

Following are the new Google Search tips and tricks updated according to the current Google algorithm.
    1. Type the name of a football team into Google, The score from their last game should be the first result.
    2. To search using an image, click the camera icon in the Google Images search box and upload and paste the URL of a picture.
    3. Check your flight is on time by searching for the airline and the flight number. This will show you the estimated departure time.

  1. Peek at sites that you’re denied access to using Google’s ‘cache’ function. For example, type ‘cache:facebook.com’.
    Google’s built-in calculator lets you simply enter a sum, such as ‘27*2/3’ into the search box.
  2. Avoid spam results by searching the titles of web pages rather than their content. For example, enter ‘intitle:Google search tips’.
  3. Type unit conversations directly into Google as like ‘$100 in Spain euro’ or ‘60kg in stone’.
  4. Search within PDF files, Word documents and PowerPoint presentations by specifying the file type in your query, for example ‘health advice filetype:PDF’.
  5. Get a four-day weather forecast for any town or city in the world by typing ‘weather [name of place]’ into the search box.
  6. If you want to know the population of a particular country, just type ‘population [name of country]’ into the search box.
